When you lose all of your teeth, it becomes difficult to eat or speak. Moreover, your facial muscles can begin to sag, making you look older. Dentures are removable appliances that can replace your missing teeth and restore your smile. With dentures, it will become easier to enjoy a meal and speak, and they will also fill out the natural appearance of your face and profile.
Full dentures can be made as either "immediate" or "conventional." Immediate dentures are prepared before your remaining teeth are removed and can be worn during the healing process; however, they may require several adjustments. Conventional dentures are outfitted after the healing process is complete and are the more long-lasting option. Ask your dentist about our full denture options to learn more!
When you still have the majority of your teeth, but are missing some in certain places, our dentist may recommend partial dentures. Partial dentures are removable and usually consist of replacement teeth attached to pink plastic bases. Depending on your needs, your partial denture may have a metal framework and clasps that connect to your teeth, or have other connectors that are more natural-looking. Partial dentures typically feel awkward and bulky in the beginning, but you will eventually become accustomed to wearing them.
